First UMC Milton is excited to welcome our new Pastor, Dan Morris, and his wife, Sharmon, on July 1, 2024. He has served as a United Methodist Pastor for 44 years in various locations in the Alabama-West Florida Conference. Dan is an ordained Elder and certified spiritual director, and he enjoys fishing, cutting grass, and swapping stories. He and Sharmon share three children and seven grandchildren.
Dan’s Scripture verse for becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ is Isaiah 40:31.
“…those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.”
His North Star verse for theological reflection is 1 John 4:16.
“God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.”
